COURSE INTRODUCTION
About this Course
WHY THIS COURSE?
Well, the obvious answer is this: "We need it!" I believe the calling of the "writing prophet" has depths and dimensions to it that we have yet to uncover or explore.
The more in-depth answer might be that the 21-st century has given new meaning to our understanding of "publishing the news" as prophetic people. The phrase "publishing" in our biblical history from Adam to Christ is equated to oral storytelling and traveling from town-to-town relaying the prophetic messages of the Lord.
Adam, for example, lived in what would have been the Stone Age. Writing and communication as we understand it today didn't exist back then. Instead, Adam would have relied on drawings, symbols and perhaps other creative forms to communicate with his generations.
The first time we can actually make a guess at when writing emerged in the Scriptures could be inferred from the time of Noah who lived at the end of the Stone Age and the emergence of the Bronze Age. That, however, would have been more of recording than writing as we consider how he may have noted the elaborate markings for measurements of the Ark.
Writing as we understand it didn't progress to a formal character system until the Bronze Age in the time of Moses and expand into the sophisticated systems of communication we would see in King David's reign in the Iron Age.
By that time in history, we see seasoned scribes, priests, prophets and kings interacting with formal scribal professions for their time, creating and instituting vast systems of communication, documentation, education and archiving.
And while the Iron Age still continues to this day, the technological advances are so significant that anyone can publish anytime, anywhere with a smart screen and keypad, text-to-speak technologies, coding in 1's and 0's, writing musical notes on physical and digital pages and/or publishing books in video, audio, print or digital formats.
Even more profound is knowing that many institutions, businesses and organizations globally lost the monopoly on restricting who could publish, where they can publish or sell, or who can become an expert or leading voice on any given subject.
And gatekeepers, who just 30 years ago owned the publishing market, had their walls torn down as self-publishing began to rival their profession, and rise as one of the most significant and pioneering markers of the first two-decades of the century.
Writers who broke through in the first two decades of this century, should see themselves as pioneers if they self-published books, blogs, websites, digital magazines or vlogs over the last two decades! What an amazing reality and consideration. Just think, 15-20 years ago... you nor I, would have been able to launch an online course or publish a book at will without paying a small fortune or having a certain skill set.
While we may not see it now, our grandkids will stand in awe of our breakthrough efforts in years to come as we tell them about the New Frontier the 21st-century opened up.
What I believe the Lord wants us to see is that PROPHETIC SCRIBES were awakened for such a time as this! Prophetic writers are types of prophetic scribes, like pianists and guitarists are types of musicians.
And from the PROPHETIC WRITER, there are different classes of writers like poets, novelists, letter writers, writing prophets, administrative writers, etc. just like there are different classes of guitarists like acoustic, bass, electric, etc.
The realm that we will cover is the writing prophet. In that discussion, however, we will make some critical distinctions between the "scribal prophet" and the "writing prophet." While these terms are used interchangeably, there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between them that we need to understand.
We need this course to clarify our identity and function.
We need this course to dig out natural and prophetic distinctions that refine our purpose and destiny.
We need this course to make divine connections with our biblical history and heritage. We need to see how WRITING PROPHETS governed the messages, instructions, artifacts, and prophetic history of our Lord and the Kingdom in the earth.
Romans 15:14 ESV, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."
YOU ARE UNCTIONED TO WRITE FOR A REASON! YOU WERE IMPRINTED WITH A PASSION FOR WRITING FOR THE DAYS AND TIMES WE ARE LIVING IN!
I believe writing prophets are a part of an elaborate plan, and ancient tradition initiated by God that spans centuries and that is strategically designed to help sons navigate this current dispensation, make sense of our supernatural past and create roadmaps for the dispensation to come.
This is the first time in the history of our faith that instruction, at this level, has begun to emerge across the earth to help prophetic scribes embrace their realm like prophetic musicians, psalmists, and dancers have embraced theirs. It's our time... as the technology of the earth is revealing the necessity of our arrival.
I pray that you are open to what the Lord will reveal to your heart through this course. I pray that everything you have learned about the ministry of the scribe prior to this moment becomes the floor on which you build new understanding and take new ground. I pray that you are excited to explore your calling and will set your heart on an adventure like a child before him. I pray that as you walk through this course, YOU will come to know that the writing realm is broader and more vast than you ever imagined. I pray that each one of you are awakened, affirmed and/or released into greater depths of your calling. May you be stirred by the Spirit. May you be healed and revived. May the Lord reveal deep mysteries to you... and may you obtain the answers your heart has been searching for in Him. In Jesus Name.
