WHEN THE PROPHET WRITES

Accountability In Writing For The Writing Prophet

INTRODUCTION In this course, I've elected not to teach concerning "what is a prophet" or to go over common topics associated with this office. This is because there is so much information out there already. It just doesn't make sense to re-invent the wheel or to re-teach things to students in this school that they already know or have some insight concerning.

What this course has done, however, is probably clarify some things you have believed or learned about the office of the prophet. It may have brought more depth and definition to what you already understand -- including realigning and pulling you into new areas of understanding. The most important thing we have done, however, is DIG OUT the writing prophet from the foundations of "The Scribal Anointing," the 21st-century revelation of the office of the prophetic scribe.

I, however, want to talk a little bit about ACCOUNTABILITY IN WRITING. This isn't the same as the discussion we had last week. This is specifically about HOLDING YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE with what you write and publish.

Before I begin, I want you to know that I am firm believer in the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD. In particular, I pay close attention to "the actual words Christ spoke, the context in which Christ spoke them, and what was happening in his immediate environment" as He spoke them. From that place, I seek to extract the purity of what I see from the Word.

You also might want to know that the ideal example of a writing prophet in The School of the Scribe, IS CHRIST! I absolutely and unapologetically believe that it is TOO HIM that we should have the office of the prophet revealed to us in this current dispensation. I earnestly don't believe that has been explored enough by prophetic people today. While I believe their is an insurmountable level of revelation that we can glean from people walking out their gifting (like we have in this course), we must press it under the calling of the greatest prophet in the history of our faith, Jesus. Our school stands by this completely.

I often tell those I mentor personally, unveil the New Covenant prophet in you... by looking to Jesus. Don't focus on the likeness and image of of the prophets of old. Glean from them, but let your example be Christ who set a NEW ORDER of prophets in place (Ephesians 4; Matthew 23:34; 1 Cor 13). As such, I believe John 7:16-18 stands as a critical measure of accountability.

YOUR MEASURE OF ACCOUNTABILITY

John 7:16-18 NKJV states, "Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him."

For the WRITING PROPHET, this scripture reflects a critically important point: JESUS SPEAKS FROM DOCTRINE NOT FROM POPULAR THEOLOGY. I say this from a PURE place -- and not in reference to anything going on in the earth today.

This passage indicates clearly that Jesus held himself accountable to the doctrine Father had set for His people, and that HE now carried and preached. As such, WRITING PROPHETS must understand that they are expected to present themselves before the Lord and people "IN THE NAME OF THE LORD".... just as Christ presented himself.

For the WRITING PROPHET, this is an even greater challenge as we move in all forms of creativity. We covered some of those areas here and we had a phenomenal teaching by Prophet L.A. Holts about her realm. I STRONGHLY URGE YOU TO LISTEN TO THE LECTURE SHE PRESENTED because it exemplifies the kind of responsibility that is before us as Sons.

I could sit here and give you everything I know, or I could write down some biblical truths that call us into accountability and challenge YOU to study them out. You see, writing prophets have a HEAVY WEIGHT on their shoulders because they "write into memorials and the realm of remembrance." Writing prophets CAUSE PEOPLE TO RECALL the heart, mind, will and truth of God.

WOE TO THE MAN WHO WRITES IN HIS NAME AND POINTS TO ANYTHING BUT THE INTENTION OF THE ETERNAL KINGDOM! A man who writes HIS OWN WILL OR HIS OWN PERVERSION OF THE TRUTH could find themselves responsible for leading thousands of people or even generations astray.

All prophets are accountable, but writing prophets have a mandate to document, gather volumes, make books, write scripts that demonstrate intention and so much more.

Writing prophets are responsible for:

Knowing the New Covenant doctrine in its purity and truth. We just or words FIRST by ensuring that they line up with the doctrine of Jesus! I have found Matthew 5-7 to be extremely helpful, as well as the Gospel of John.

Know the NEW COVENANT way and seek to understand the newness we received from the resurrection. Remember, we talked about the critical importance of how the Father reveals himself, how Christ reveals the Father, and how Holy Spirit reveals the Son. EVERY PROPHET should know what that looks like from a scriptural perspective and an inward witness. Verse 17 makes that absolutely clear in the passage above. Use this time of study as an opportunity to go further and farther in your relationship with Christ than every before.

Understanding that PROPHECY & THE ACTS OF THE PROPHET are purposed to reveal God's intention for individual and corporate reconciliation. Look in your writings to see how the KINGDOM IS BEING BUILT INTO THE PURE VESSEL CHRIST ORDAINED! Can you see the hope of glory rising? Can you see the love of God ruling? The office of the prophet exists to help NAVIGATE "THE HEART OF THE CHURCH." While darkness is often revealed, prophets are also responsible for bringing LIGHT INTO the darkness. There should be a pure desire to see this happen in what is released.

Revealing Christ. We have spoken extensively on this. This is an excellent place to begin identifying whether people are speaking on their OWN BEHALF or whether they are SPEAKING ON THE FATHER'S behalf through their ink. Just review the past teachings on this subject.

Coming in the volume of the book written for them. Take the time to discover your own prophetic voice through your ink. Don't be afraid. The world is changing and the Lord is raising up prophets who can speak into every medium -- whether its Tic Tok or Instagram. Again, refer to Prophet L.A. Holts teaching from last week.

Please use the CITY OF LETTERS or respond below to discuss what is written here. You are always free to ask questions for clarity. But most of all, become a STUDENT OF THE WORD. Be willing to consider perspectives that are different from what you have always known. God is moving out a lot of tradition and legalism in this hour... and opening the eyes of those to what He is doing NOW. OUR MEASURE OF ACCOUNTABILITY BEGINS HERE.
