YOUR SCRIBAL JOURNEY
Part III: Clearing The Way
RECOVERING THE STOLEN VOICE
Potential teachers of The Scribal Anointing® should make EVERY EFFORT to create environments that help RELEASE the stolen voice. We already know the role prayer plays in this process. It's a given to do the traditional things necessary to break through. However, the environment AND atmosphere that you create for your students can make a big difference as well.
You see, prophetic scribes face a tremendous amount of obstacles along their journey. Those we've discussed so far are among the most common I have seen over the past two decades. Briefly, I want to review some ways you can begin to help prophetic scribes heal - whether they acknowledge the challenges before them or not. In this list, I've listed some ideas that can be implemented in workshops, conferences, seminars, worship environments, small open mics, etc. that can go a long way in planting seeds or watering the healing process.
If you are blessed to raise up a team in which you are the ESSENTIAL VOICE and the PRIMARY LEADER, you can use these ideas to cultivate a powerful and profound healing community. For the first 13 years of my scribal ministry, every single event, meeting and conference we had was drenched in a profound healing anointing from severe trauma -- especially in the areas of my own healing from mother and father wounds, incest, emotional and physical abuse, neglect and abandonment. We brought EVERYTHING to the table through monologues, spoken word, poetry, art, dance, mime, skits, etc. The best part, however, was that we didn't need to lay hands on anyone often. People would spontaneously collapse under the weight of the Spirit.... simply by the atmosphere set.
There are strategic times in which we can create space for that kind of healing - with or without music. All we need is a people desperate for presence, ready to unleash an inner worship in their brokenness.
THOSE IDEAS MIGHT INCLUDE:
Creating a safe SPACE for people to share their heart.
Allow people to respectfully and earnestly share their heart and speak their mind without judgment.
Create environments (by setup and design) and atmospheres (by conversation, friendliness and engagement) that breaks down walls.
Acknowledge the reality of physical, emotional, and psychological trauma. Allow conversations to happen organically versus always being steered or directed.
Make room for extensive listening and acknowledgement of another persons trauma at certain, designated gatherings. This doesn't mean "agreement" but it does mean acknowledging a person's state of being with wisdom and discernment.
Make room for leadership led personal ministry when needed. Also know that just because it's ministry it does not have to be on a mic or for public display. We can minister to people in private space within the meeting room, away from mics and prying ears.
Maintain an atmosphere for encouragement, affirmation.
Evoke new thought processes, healing options - specifically as they relate to scribal ministry and the arts.
Make the learning environment fun, collaborative.... community centered. Everyone can have a part.
Always be led by the Spirit, never afraid to set aside time specifically for prophetic ministry.
Make TREMENDOUS use of creative expression through music, art and spontaneity.
Add your own ideas.
Below are some short video clips of people reclaiming their voice at one of our conferences over a decade ago. I will share more as we move forward.
In the first clip, a young man who had never heard the Lord's voice before stood up to speak, followed by an uncontrollable outpouring. Visitations like this are a staple of our ministry. We are grateful to Holy Spirit.
In the second clip, a woman began hearing God declare "don't let your pens die." And this began a second wave of healing.
In the final clip, you will see a corporate time of impartation and prophecy at the close of the conference. Our main feedback from this gathering was that people "reclaimed their voice."
